Nature conservation day is a global celebration. This year we would like to contribute by hosting a park clean up. This weekend will also mark the beginning of Killarney’s journey towards being disposable cup free. Single use cups amongst other items have littered our park for some time now and we are all hoping to make a difference. 🍃 If you would like to take part in our park clean up feel free to contact us or see the following details. • Meet us at the Black Sheep Coffee Shack before 9:30am Saturday morning (29th July). This weekend we are showing our appreciation to our lovely friends at @killarneybeewalksandhoney. These beekeepers are doing great work when it comes to keeping our little heroes happy. 🐝 Killarney Bee Walks is located in a traditional farm 3 km from Killarney town. The Bee Meadow comprises of 2.5 acres of flowers for pollinators along with wild flowers to attract bumblebees, butterflies and insects. 🦋 With many trails and hideouts on their farm you can also experience the honey bees working in observation hives. You can also go to their visitor centre to learn more about their busy working bees. 🌼 We stock their honey in our coffee shop if you would like to try out some local honey.
