The Dingle Peninsula features a rugged coastline along the Wild Atlantic Way. People have lived in this region for 6000 years as is evident in the many Celtic and early Christian monuments found in the area. This includes the Ogham Stones, the Beehive Huts as well as church buildings like Gallarus Oratory and the monastic settlement of Reask.

Considered by many to have some of Europe’s most spectacular scenery, the peninsula also supports a rare and unique variety of flora and fauna. Slea Head is the most westerly point in Europe and the next stop is America.
